Rules of the Game.

So yeh, state of the 30 day post thing I posted below or whatever it is. I realised it's puurty damn boring or maybe thats just my short attention span.

So with doing somehting other than study for upcoming exams in mind, I've decided to start a new 30 day post thingy. This one is taken from a book called 'Rules of the Game'.

Basically the premise of this is to obtain a date within the 30 days. Each day there is a different task I must do and soemthing I must read. I've decided to do this for the lolz.

So basically I can't do Day One now as its 7pm. I'll begin tommorow and post the results up tommorow night.

Nighters.

Day 01 → Your favorite song

My favourite song.

Well thats an easy one, it is without a doubt, 'What is love' by Haddaway.

WHAT IS LOVE?
BABY DON'T HURT ME,
BABY DON'T HURT ME
NO MORE
* Shakes head madly *

Normally I'd say something like "OH, I don't know, too many to choose from". But that wouldn't be too interesting of a blog.

I'm unsure of what qualitys a song would have to have in order for me to choose it as my favourite; have inspiring lyrics, relaxing melody or connect me to some certain memory. I do love songs that remind me of a certain time or place, I love connecting memorys with such things as songs, smells etc.

I'm going to name a few songs;

'3 Legged workhorse' by This will destroy you.
'Any other name' by Thomas Newman.
'Compass & Guns' by Thomas Newman.

Just realised they all contain no lyrics, wonder if this means something?

30 day blog structure.

So i've decided to start blogging again and as a sort of push along I'll be following this structure which a lot of people are:

TIme for a new post.

So it's been about a year since my last blog post, I guess it's around time for a new one. I actually quite like the medium of a blog as a way to voice my thoughts, I couldn't care less if anyone reads it, it's just a way to make sense of the things in my head.

So where to begin... it's the end of the year.2009, what a year... well it was ok for me at least. I finally finished school and started college. Although I'm loving college life, I'm not too sure about my course choice. Why I choose a business course I will never understand, my business teachers reaction to the news I would be doing it in college was ''Good joke'', which pretty much sums it up. I've always wanted to pursue something media related yet here I am supposed to be studying with ''The principles of Economics'' lying open in front of me. This just isn't me at all. It's like getting a chess player to play in a rugby match. But enough about this year I'm supposed to be talking about 2009. I've had some good moments - getting serenaded by an elderly polish man, threatened to be suspended from school for producing t-shirts declaring my friend to be of a homosexual persuasion, oxgen in general, my first holiday away without parents ( many a good night was had). I'm just glad I've got the leaving cert out of the way and I don't have to go through that again, although I didn't really take it seriously, it was still very stressful at the time.

Anyway I'm beginning to ramble as usual so I'll move onto what I hope to accomplish this year, in bulletpoint form so as to prevent the aforementioned rambling:

  • Go interailing
  • Attend as many music festivals/ gigs as humanly possible
  • Find a college course I actually enjoy
  • Find a girlfriend and have a steady realationship*
  • Get a job
  • Write blog posts more often
  • Learn to cook something other than Sandwhich le tayto.
*Ok, so that's never going to happen but still...

Anyway folks I'm off this. Hopefully you won't have to wait a year for my next post.

Au Revoir

First Blog Post.

Hello world.
This here is my first blog post and to be quite honest I have no idea what to write about.
I could attempt most likely unsuccesfully to try and explain the utter pandemonium that goes on inside my head but if I were to suceed I would most likely be arrested.
How typical of me, Still in my introduction and I've already got myself in trouble.Woopsies.

I think perhaps I will start with what I have been up to recently.

Well over the past few days I have done... well nothing really. I should be studying for my leaving cert, but I just lack the motivation. Bet you haven't heard that one before.
Its just around the corner and I know that doing well in this will give me a serious advantage in later life and I will get into a good college yada yada yada,on the other hand I could just browse the internet for several hours looking at funny cat pictures and the like.
Obviously I went with the second option.

Actually come to think of it I did do something recently.
Me and my friends thought it would be a great idea to go camping, our heads filled with positive images of the latest skins as we set out that day, bags filled with cheap beer and tents.
We anticipated a great night, how wrong we were. For some strange reason it never once occured to me that I do live in ireland and yes it does tend to be cold and rain in mid april.
The night started great, beer was flowing and laughs were plentiful, then the rain set in so we decided to head into our respective tents, then it occured to us that there was three tents for fifteen people(There was originally four but we thought it was a great idea for some strange reasoning to hurl one of the tents into the fire)

So then there was five of us cramped into one tent, wet and cold for the rest of the night.

Oh the joys of camping...
